Tips to Fix Galaxy Z Fold 4/Flip 4 WiFi Connection Issue
1. Reboot Phone
Reboot the phone to see whether the WiFi connection works or not. A simple reboot can remove small glitches that can cause WiFi connectivity issues.
2. Turn OFF the Airplane Mode
Check if the Airplane Mode is turned on or not. When ON, this setting stops all external connections. Pull down the notification bar and find the Airplane Mode icon. If blue, it is turned on. Tap on it to turn it off.
3. Get Within WiFi Range
If you are out of your router’s range, it will not work. Get within the network range and see if it works.
4. Check Router & LAN Cables
If there is something wrong with your router and the LAN cable connectivity, WiFi may not work. Check the router. Better yet, shut down the router, wait for 30 seconds and turn it on. Now check the connection. Also, re-plug the LAN cables to ensure that everything is fixed properly.
5. Check With Another Network
If possible, try to connect to WiFi on a different network. If your phone connects normally, there is something wrong with your router or ISP. Change router and check. If that doesn’t work, call your ISP and ask them to fix the network.
6. Forget WiFi Network
If the Wireless Access Point settings are wrong or corrupted, you cannot connect to the WiFi. It then becomes necessary to forget the WiFi network and then re-establish it. Follow the steps below:
- Settings » WiFi.
- Tap on and select your network » Forget Network.
Once the network is forgotten, scan for your WiFi network again and enter the proper credentials to connect.
7. Clear Cache Partition
Your Galaxy Z Fold 4/Flip 4 has a cache partition that helps with the proper functioning of the phone. However, if the cache becomes corrupt, your phone may freeze, networks may fail to work, and many more problems show up. It is important to clear the cache partition using the steps above (in the Mobile Data segment). It may have to resolve the WiFi issue.
8. Reset Network Settings
You can try to reset the network settings to their factory settings. This can help to remove errors and reset the settings to their default options. The steps involved include:
- Settings » System » Reset Option » Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth.
- Enter the Password/PIN when asked for.
- Hit the Reset button.
9. Remove Corrupt Apps & Update Apps
If you started experiencing the WiFi connectivity issue after installing any app, consider removing it and testing the connectivity. Often, poorly coded apps can cause such problems. Also, make sure that you update all apps from Google Play Store. Outdated apps can cause network connectivity issues.
